Join us at the Harriet Beecher Stowe house for their annual discussion series focusing on important aspects of history related to Harriet Beecher Stowe. This year the focus is Year of the Woman: a look at the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. From the HBSH, here's a description of the series:

Year of the Woman Discussion Series: First Wednesdays @ 7pm

Throughout 2020 our popular monthly discussion series will honor the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, granting American women the right to vote. This all-new series will cover a variety of topics relating to Harriet’s connections with other women authors and women’s issues of her day.

Discussions will be led by Dr. John Getz (Professor Emeritus, Xavier University) and various co-leaders. Each discussion will be self-contained so participants can jump in at any point. Suggested readings are be posted, but we’ll always have handouts for anyone who can’t read ahead.

On discussion nights the House opens for tours at 6:00 pm. A donation of $5.00 for the evening is suggested; tours and discussion are free for members.

This series is sponsored by Ann Lugbill & Associates.
