  • Western Wildlife Corridor presents: Butterflies with Dr. Glenn Crisler II

Join us on Zoom for a presentation butterflies presented by Western Wildlife Corridor. WWC is a local non-profit organization that strives to preserve wooded areas on the westside of Cincinnati as well as educate residents on environmentalism and nature. Their monthly meeting is Tuesday, August 18th and will feature Dr. Glenn Crisler II of Mount St. Joseph as he takes us on a journey into the world of butterflies.

Dr. Crisler II is a chemistry professor at Mt. Saint Joseph and has beenpublished in the journal Lepidoptera, which is the order of butterflies and moths.

    From the event page,

"Come join Western Wildlife Corridor online as Dr. Crisler takes us on a webinar journey, learning about the wide range of physical and behavioral survival adaptations of butterflies found in the Eastern United States. This talk will discuss many of these defense mechanisms including camouflage, confusion, startle, fright, poison, mimicry, and speed."

The event is free but you must register at eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/113696138210

You will receive the link to the event content in your order confirmation email, and in a reminder email before the event starts.

Afterwards, we can join up on our private zoom meeting and discuss the evening. I will invite members of the Corridor as well as Dr. Crisler to join us as well if we have folks sign up. I will create a separate event to start at 8pm. I will sign in as soon as the WWC meeting ends.
