  • Yom Hashoah: Holocaust Remembrance Day Stories

Come hear the stories of surviviors Pearl and Samuel Binder as told by their granddaughter Naomi Liebson and other family members. Hear her grandparent's stories of resistance, eventual capture, and human perseverance. These stories are part of a national archive and were recorded by the United States Holocaust Museum in New York City. They are shown at Holocaust Museums across the country. Naomi and family members may also share new information not included in the video. Films such as these were created to catalogue the first hand accounts of survivors and serve to educate as well as to dispel Holocaust denial accusations. We will begin by sharing portions of the video featuring her grandmother and her testimony. Then, Naomi and her family will answer questions and discuss other stories not included in the recorded video. Trigger warning: This event will may contain some information that may be graphic or of a sensitive nature that may upset some people.
